Aided, Unaided schools producing no results to lose recognition
Dharwad, Sep 9 (UNI) Recognition given to aided and unaided schools in Karnataka will be cancelled, if they produce no results in Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination from the next academic year, Education Minister Basavaraj Horatti informed today.
Talking to newspersons here, he said with effect from June 2007, recognition of high schools and pre-university colleges would be cancelled, if they failed to produce results. If it was a government school, then action would be initiated against the staff, he added.
To a question, the Minister said the government had recommended cancellation of permission to 1,416 Kannada medium schools for teaching in English.
