3 family members commit suicide

Thrissur, Kerala, Sep 9 (UNI) Three members of a family, including two minor girls, allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at their residence at Vettilappara near here today.

Police said the deceased were identified as Arakkalveetil Mukundan(35) and his daughters Sruthy (9) and Smruthy (7).

Mukundan was a tempo van driver. His wife Ajitha had committed suicide about four months ago due to family disputes.

Since her death, Mukundan and his daughters were living in unrest and grief, police added.
