2 arrested for betting over England-Pak cricket match

Bangalore, Sep 9 (UNI) The city police have arrested two persons on the charge of betting on the recently played England-Pakistan one day international cricket match.

Police said based on a tip off yesterday that betting was going on at a residence in the city, the Crime Branch personnel conducted a raid and arrested two persons, while three others managed to escape. The police have recovered Rs 2.71 Lakh from them.

The police also seized electronic gadgets including TV sets, mobile phones, laptops and a car.
