UB Group launches world's first diet whisky

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Keeping in mind the consumers concern for health and fitness, the UB Group today launched world's first diet whisky--McDowell's No 1-DietMate here.

''With increasing stress levels, health complications and work taking its toll, an increasing number of youngsters are looking are looking for healthier alternatives that fit into their lifestyle,'' said company's Divisional Vice President Dalip Garg.

He further said,''DietMate is the result of extensive research and contains Garcenia, which is well known for the health benefits.'' Mr Garg said the McDowell's No 1 DietMate gives consumers an ultimate blend, meticulously researched and perfected with the smoothness of a reserve whisky and goodness of Garcenia -- an ancient Indian herb, which has the rare ability to burn excess fat and control cholesterol levels in the human body.

It is available at Rs 170 for 750 ml bottle, Rs 90 for 375 ml bottle, Rs 50 for 180 ml bottle, he added.
