UB Group eyes 20 per cent volume growth
Kolkata, Sep 08 (UNI) The UB Group is looking at 20 per cent growth in spirit sales volumes this fiscal over 60 million cases sold last year, Debashish Shyam, associate vice-president, UB, said today.
" We are looking at developing new brands through innovation," Shyam said adding that the company is looking at 'New Wines' and vodka segment for growth.
" The vodka segment is growing fast and making inroads into the whisky market," he said.
The group is looking at markets in Middle East, Africa, parts of Europe and South East Asia for export opportunities.
" We are giving equal focus to prestige segment of the market, which is growing at 80 per cent," he said.
He said the consolidation of McDowell's, Herbertsons, Triumph Distillers&Vintners and Shaw Wallace brand under the United Spirits brand would be completed by September.
