Two arrested, bullets seized in Nagaland

Kohima, Sep 8 (UNI) Two people were arrested and a huge cache of arms was seized from a vehicle in the 4th mile area of Dimapur town during a routine frisking by the Dimapur police.

Police seized 2937 rounds of bullets and 30 Self-loading Rifles (SLR) yesterday.

Official sources said two occupants of the vehicle were arrested and the vehicle was also seized. The arrested persons revealed that they had procured the consignment from Chumukedima area in Dimapur district.

Police registered a case and investigation was on to apprehend the racket, sources said.
