Suspected witch attcked

Badwani, MP, Sep 8 (UNI) A woman and two children were seriously injured in a deadly attack by a relative, who suspected her of practicing witchcraft, at Bajhar village in this district, police said today.

Dema, who was ailing for long, went to Sonibai's house last night and pelted stones breaking the woman's arm and injuring another relative Amasya's children -- Usha (3 years) and Saleem (1.5).

The children, who received injuries in their head, were hospitalised.

Dema alleged that since Sonibai was practicing witchcraft on him, he had been suffering from one disease or other since past five-six years. Besides, he had become bankrupt.

Dema had undergone punishment in a case earlier.

The accused is absconding.
