Silver, gold open lower on discouraging global advice

Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI) Prices of spot silver and gold opened lower due to lack of demand along with weak advice from overseas markets, traders at the bullion market today said.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 19,805, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,300, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,350.
