RJD to bring no-confidence motion against J'Khand speaker
Ranchi, Sep 8 (UNI) The Opposition UPA in Jharkhand today stepped up protest against Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari for issuing defection notices to three legislators, with RJD threatening to move no-confidence motion against the Speaker.
The UPA has chalked out several agitational programmes, including protest march to Raj Bhavan tomorrow, gherao of Speaker's residence on September 10 followed by Assembly gherao the next day.
The UPA with its coalition today held a meeting presided over by RJD State President Gautam Sagar Rana here.
Mr Rana, addressing a press conference here, said the legislators of the Assembly unanimously had elected Mr Namdhari as the Speaker with the hope that he would work according to the constitution. But, now majority of the MLAs lost their faith in him after he served show cause notice to the three MLAs-Mr Kamlesh Singh, Anos Ekka and Stephen Marandi.
Mr Rana said the people throughout the country knew that the BJP-led NDA government in Jharkhand was reduced to minority when four ministers--Mr Kamlesh Singh, Anos Ekka, Harinarain Rai and Madhu Koda resigned from the Munda cabinet on September five.
He said now Mr Namdhari was creating hurdle for the UPA which enjoyed a majority in the state.
Mr Namdhari has maligned the sanctity of the chair, he alleged.
