Narcotic smuggler arrested with charas in Doda

Jammu, Sep 8 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested a narcotic smuggler from Banihal bus stand in Doda.

A police team from Banihal Police Station, acting on a specific information, conducted a raid in Banihal bus stand and arrested a narcotic smuggler who was identified as Ghulam Hassan, son of Fateh Rishi of village Pethar.

Police recovered one and half kilograms of charas from his possession. The narcotic smuggler has been booked under 8/20 of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPSA).

During interrogation, he disclosed that he had to send the contraband to Jammu and was looking for his associate, who used to transport the narcotics from Banihal to different parts of Jammu.
