Malegaon blast: security stepped up in K'taka

Bangalore, Sep 8 (UNI) High security alert has been sounded in Karnataka following three bomb blasts at Malegaon in Maharashtra today in which at least 30 people were killed and 125 wounded.

Police said vigilance would be stepped up in sensitive areas and thorough checks carried out at all entry and exit points to avoid anti-social elements from entering the state.

Security has also been tightened in all parts of the city, which is considered one of the key targets of terrorists.
