High alert sounded in UP
Lucknow, Sep 8 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh goverment has sounded 'high alert' in the state after three bomb blast rocked Malegaon in North Maharashtra today.
State Home department officials here said all the districts had been alerted and asked to maintain vigil.
They have been asked to intensify police patrolling in sensitive areas and keep close watch on the activities of anti-social elements, the official said.
The government has made elaborate security arrangement in all the railway stations, station depots and other places.
At least 25 people were killed and 125 wounded in three blasts leading to clashes, which forced the authorities to impose curfew.
