Haryana to forfeit book on Mahatma

Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) The Haryana government has decided to forfeit each and every copy of the book titled 'Mahatma Gandhi-a Curse for Bharat' with immediate effect.

An official spokesman said the decision to forfeit the book had been taken as it contained ''objectionable derogatory remarks against the Father of the Nation and tended to promote feelings of enmity, hatred and ill-will between different communities.'' The book, written by Anand Parkash Madan, has been published in English and Hindi by Vikalap Prakashan, New Delhi.
