Governor calls for preserving communal amity in Goa
Panaji, Sep 8 (UNI) Goa Governor S C Jamir has today urged the people to preserve the legacy of communal harmony in the island state.
Inaugurating the renovated Chapel of Our Lady of Agonizantes of the Asylum of Candolim run by the Institute of Public Assistance (IPA), the Governor said the spread of the message of love, compassion and communal amity would facilitate further progress of the state.
Mr Jamir had also asked 5,000 odd NGO's in the state to work for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden. He appreciated the role of the IPA in this connection.
