Gold closes 9 weeks low, silver slips on

Mumbai, Sep 8: values of gold closed nine weeks low while silver further crashed on sustained heavy offers by stockists in view of bearish global advice, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association today said.

Following were the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade: Rs 19,595 (20,030).

Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 9,225 (9,495), Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 9,275 (9,545).
