Cricket tournament for under-seven students

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) They might get lost in the regular pads and helmets but with some compromise on the existing rules, Delhi Public School, RK Puram will host an under-seven cricket tournament from September 12-27.

The ninth Kanwar Ashish Inter-School Cricket Tournament will see the pitch length cut short to 10 yards while the batting crease will measure three feet in the 10-overs-a-side match.

And while Greg Chappell will have to live with the stigma of ordering his younger brother Tevor to bowl that underarm delivery against New Zealand in 1981, the youngsters would get scotfree with that. And ICC maybe struggling to curb chucking but here the organisers have allowed throw ball as well.

Former India pacer Javagal Srinath will be the chief guest at the opening match.
