CPI(Maoist) hardcore arrested, cache of arms recovered
Bokaro/Jamtara, Sep 8 (UNI) Police today arrested a hardcore CPI (Maoist) ultra from Itwa Bedia village in Jharkhand's Bokaro district.
Police also recovered huge cache of arms from Checharia Tetahi Forest area under same police station area of the district.
Superintendent of police Manvinder Singh Bhatia here said local police and special task force were jointly conducting raids in search for ultras in the area for last few days.
Mr Singh said police today succeeded in nabbing Chiatta Manjhi alias Tengwa from the area.
He said acting on the information given by the ultra police they recovered a huge cache of arms which included one stengun, three double-barrel gun, three country-made rifle, 3 country-made pistol, one revolver, 14 cartridges of 303 pistol, 60 detonators, 20 gelatin sticks and naxal literature from Checharia Tetahi Forest area.
Mr Singh said Chaitta has admitted his involvement in rifle loot case under Chandrapura Rail police station of the district, Bokaro-Jharia loot case and several other cases and police encounters.
In another incident, Jamtara police arrested seven person involved in making country liquor, a report from Jamtara said.
