CPI condemns Malegaon blasts; urges communal harmony
New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (CPI) today condemned the serial blasts in Malegaon in which at least 25 people were killed.
Urging the people of Maharashtra and the rest of the country to show the ''same resilience'' of Mumbai after the serial blasts in suburban trains, the CPI said unity and communal harmony must be maintained to defeat the purpose of terrorists.
The party, however, said the situation demanded more coordinated and effective measures against terrorists as such attacks are taking place despite warning and alertness by the government.
The terrorists cannot succeed in weakening India through such ''cowardly attacks'' targeting innocent people, the party said.
