Centre to hike MP's wheat, kerosene quota

Bhopal, Sep 8 (UNI) The Centre has assured to provide additional quota of wheat and kerosene to Madhya Pradesh due to shortage.

Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar gave an assurance in this regard to Governor Balram Jakkhar during their meeting in New Delhi yesterday.

Mr Pawar also promised to compensate the farmers the loss to standing crop due to flooding even as Mr Jakkhar stressed the need for increasing assistance in view of the magnitude of the loss, official sources said.
