Bomb threat school turns out to be hoax
Hubli, Sep 8: Two anonymous threat calls to a presitigious school here that bombs would explode in its premises, turned out to be a hoax today.
Police said the first call was received by the school around 0930 hrs and the second at 1015 hrs. The caller had said that explosives would go off at 1030 hrs.
The peon of the school who attended the call, alerted the Principal who immediately asked students and staff to vacate the premises and informed the police.
Senior police officials rushed to the school. A thorough search by the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs yielded no explosives.
Police Commissioner N R Nadamani told UNI that it could have been an act of mischief and steps were being to trace the caller.
