BoI launches credit counselling centre
Mumbai, Sep 8 (UNI) The Bank of India (BoI) launched its first credit counselling centre here today.
The centre was inaugurated at the hands of RBI Governor Dr Y V Reddy at a function coinciding with the 101st foundation day of BoI.
Bank of India CMD M Balachandran told mediapersons, ''In the 100 years of its existence, the Bank has moved in tune with the efforts in nation building. The Bank always endeavours to strike a viable equilibrium between commercial objectives and social responsibilities.'' The credit counseling centre will be managed under the aegis of a trust called ''Abhay''. Credit counseling services, to be set up in various parts of the country, will be provided funding support by this trust. Two such centres, one in Mumbai and another at Wardha have been planned for launch soon.
