3 killed as van collides with lorry

Hubli, Sep 8 (UNI) Three people were killed on the spot and one person injured when a van in which they were travelling collided with a lorry near Gundenahalli cross on the Pune-Bangalore national highway, about 100 km from here today.

Police said the deceased, all employees of GE Electric company in Bangalore, were proceeding to Bangalore. They were identified as Rupesh Kumar (35) of Madhya Pradesh, Indresh Machaiah (33) of Bangalore and Ritesh Rathod (33) of Bihar. The lorry driver was injured in the mishap.
