21 MPs urge PM, Pak President to take peace process forward

New Delhi, Sept 8 (UNI) The Indo-Pak Forum of Parliamentarians today appealed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf to take the peace process forward despite difficulties.

In a joint appeal issued to the leaders of both countries, who are likely to meet in Havana (Cuba) on the sidelines of the Non-Aligned Summit meeting next week, 21 MPs said people of both countries desire peace and friendship.

The signatories included Forum Chairperson Mrs Nirmala Deshpande, Vice-Chairman Shahid Siddiqi, Mr Ramdeo Bhandari, Mr Abdul Rashid Shahin, Mr Sudhakar Reddy, Mrs Brinda Karat, Mrs Prema Cariappa, Mr Shatrughan Singh and Mrs N P Durga.
