16 convicted to life term in Sadar Bazaar riot case

New Delhi, Sep 8 (UNI) A Delhi court today convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment 16 people accused in connection with the riots of 1990 in the Sadar Bazar locality of the city.

Additional Sessions Judge N P Kaushik read out the sentence in a packed courtroom on the 1990 riots, in which eight people were killed.

Of the 18 charged with the riots of November 14, 1990, one died during trial and one was declared proclaimed offender.
