Natl song Vande Mataram recital at MP madrasas
Bhopal, Sept 7: Students of more than 5,000 madrasas in Madhya Pradesh joined in recital of national song 'Vande Mataram' today to mark its centenary.
State Madrasa Board Chairman S K Muddin along with about 300 Muslim students sang the national song at the Board office here.
''The national song was sung in about 5300 madrasas, where 2.75 lakh students were enrolled'', he told UNI, adding no report about boycott or objections to its recital had been received.
The national song was translated from Sanskrit to Urdu to facilitate its singing in Madrasas, he said.
Mr Muddin said instructions had been issued to all madrasas through District Education Officers for collective singing of the national song to mark the centenary of its chorus singing.
The BJP government had issued instructions for the recital of the national song at all government offices, local bodies and educational institutions.
