Two die after consuming illicit liquor

Tirupati, Sep 7 (UNI) Two persons died and one another was rushed to hospital after allegedly consuming illicit liquor in a wine shop near Leelamahal theatre junction, on Tirumala by-pass road in the temple town this afternoon.

Police here said, a five persons belonging to the gold smith community consumed the liquor in the wine shop. while two of them died on the spot one person stated to be in critical condition, was admitted to Government Ruia Hospital.

The deceased persons were identified as K Balu (45) and K Subramaniyam (44).

However, the police and excise officials, who rushed to the spot seized the liquor bottle and the glasses used by the victims and other objectives from the spot for clinical test.

The officials also sealed the wine shop.
