Tri-series will be a challenging one: Dravid
Bangalore, Sep 7 (UNI) Team India captain Rahul Dravid today said the Malaysian tri-series involving Australia and West Indies from September 12 to 24 will be a challenging one.
''It is going to be a very good challenging series. I think Australia is obviously the best team in the world. It is exciting for us to play against them since they have a proven track record and they play good cricket...We have not done well in the last series against West Indies. This gives a good opportunity to correct ourselves,'' he told newspersons here before the team left for Chennai after completing a nine-day 'Rolling Camp' for players selected for the series.
During the last ODI series, India lost 4-1 to the West Indies.
Dravid exuded confidence that the players would implement the lessons they leant during this camp. The team had prepared well and ''if we play good cricket, we can get some good result.'' Declining to comment on the ball tampering issue during the series between Pakistan and England, he said ''it is hard to comment on the incident sitting at thousands of kilometres away. It has a lot of controversies. It was disappointing. But we have to go on and it is not a major issue to blow up. However, ICC is seized of the matter and it will give its decision later in the month.'' MORE UNI MSP GD PDS HS1450
