Special train to Guwahati

Chennai, Sep 7 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Railways R Velu has ordered running of a weekly special train Guwahati-Yesvantpur-Guwahati via Chennai Central to clear the extra rush of passengers in connection with Durga Pooja.

Accordingly, train no 202 Guwahati-Yesvantpur Special would leave Guwahati at 0630 hrs on Saturdays from September 16 to October 28 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0440 hrs on Mondays.

Leaving Chennai Central at 0500 hrs on Mondays, the train would reach Yesvantpur at 1210 hrs the same day.

Train No 201 Yesvantpur-Guwahati Special would leave Yesvantpur at 2355 hrs on Mondays from September 18 to October 30 and arrive at Chennai Central at 0935 hrs on Tuesdays.

Leaving Chennai Central at 1000 hrs on Tuesdays, the train would reach Guwahati at 0930 hrs on Thursdays.

The train would stop at Kamakhya, Rangiya, Barpeta Road, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Cooch Behar, Dhupguri, New Jalpaiguri, Kishanganj, Barsoi, Malda Town, Rampurhat, Bolpur, Howrah, Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jaipur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Balugaon, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vijayanagaram, Duvvada, Rajamundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Gudru, Chennai Central, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Krishnarajapuram.

The composition of the trains would be one AC two-tier, one AC three-tier, II Sleeper, pantry car, four general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
