Solution to affiliation on a postive note: Rio

Kohima, Sept 7: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio was hopeful of a postive outcome on affiliation of private schools of four hill districts of Manipur with Nagaland Board of Secondary Education (NBSE).

After meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi, Mr Rio said at Dimapur yesterday on his arrival that four districts of Manipur have already made up their mind to attach themselves with the NBSE under Article 30, clause of the Constitution, defining the right of minorities to establish and administer educational institution of their choice.

"The go ahead for the affiliation should be given without turning it into a confounding issue as is being done by the Manipur Government officials who are in Delhi to meet the Prime Minister on the issue", he said.
