School certificate racket busted in Bihar
Kishanganj, Sep 7 (UNI) A racket has been busted when five people, including two government school teachers, were apprehended by a mukhiya and handed over to police at Satkaura village under Dighalbank police station area on Wednesday, Superintendent of Police Sunil Kumar Sinha said.
Police sources said mukhiya Shanker Kumar Anand and his associates laid a trap and nabbed two school teachers--Akhilesh Kumar Mandal and Subhas Jha--for selling off forged school certificates.
They were then handed over to police. Three other persons were later picked up by police on charges of conniving with the racketeer teachers.
Police confiscated a huge number of forged certificates related to Hindi Vidyapith Deoghar, Hindi Vidyapith Allahabad and Tirhut Vidyapith Muzaffarpur, sources disclosed.
The SP said police would carry more raids at different places and printing press.
