Rs 124.37 cr for sick CPSEs as non-plan budgetary support:Gov

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today gave its approval for providing a non-plan budgetary support of Rs 124.37 crore (subject to actuals) for 15 sick Central Public Sector Enterprises rpt Enterprises (CPSEs) for payment of outstanding statutory dues and salary/wages for six months from January 1, 2006.

Following are the 15 CPSEs: Andrew Yule and Co, Kolkata, Bharat Heavy Plates and Vessels Ltd, Vishakhapatnam, Burn Standard Co, Kolkata, Bharat Wagon Engineering, Patna, Hindustan Cables, Kolkata, HMT(MT), Bangalore, HMT (Watches), Bangalore, Hindustan Photo films, Ooty, Instrumentation Ltd, Kota, Nepa Ltd, Nepanagar (MP), Triveni Structurals, Allahabad, HMT (Chinar Watches) Ltd, HMT (Holding) Ltd, National Instruments Ltd, Tungabhadra Steel Products Ltd.

The decision, taken at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister, would mitigate the hardships of the employees thereby motivating them for better output and prepare them to achieve the goal of revival for the company, an official spokesperson said.
