Prostitution racket busted in Capital

New Delhi, Sep 7 (UNI) With the arrest of five sex workers and two pimps, police today claimed to have busted a prostitution racket in North East Delhi.

Suman (23), Neelam (27), Suman (26), Reshma (18), Geeta (30), Tanvir (40) and Suman (38) were arrested yesterday from Bhajanpura area during a raid.

During interrogation, they revealed that they were part of the racket for about two years.

Police said all the sex workers belong to lower middle class families and are from Delhi, Uttar Pradseh and Bihar.

Further investigations are in progress.
