Polythene banned in Gulmarg
Srinagar, Sep 7 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has imposed a ban on entry, sale and use of polythene in the world famous tourist resort of Gulmarg, an official spokesman said today.
He said the Deputy Commissioner, Baramulla has banned the entry, sale and use of polythene carry bags in the tourist resort of Gulmarg, municipal and town area limits.
The manufacturing, stocking and carriage of ploythene has also been banned under section 144 of CrPC, the spokesman added.
He said the step has been taken in compliance with the directions of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
