No indication of quake: NGRI

Hyderabad, Sep 7 (UNI) Even as panic gripped across Asom in the wake of a ''pinpoint prediction'' of an earthquake hitting the state tomorrow morning, the city-based National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) today maintained that there was no indication of any earthquake.

Refusing to confirm or deny the prediction by Prof N Venkatanathan of the Department of Applied Geology, Madras University, NGRI Deputy Director Kausalya told UNI that the data available with the institute did not give any indication in this regard.
