Kitchenware manufacturing facility in TN
Chennai, Sept 7 (UNI) Kitchenware manufacturing major Farwood Industries will set up a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with investment of Rs 12 crore at Kelambakkam on the outskirts of the city.
It would have total built up area of 1.20 lakh square feet, double the size of the existing facility on the Old Mahabalipuram Road.
The new plant would become operational by January next year and it would cater to the manufacturing needs of all its variants in kitchen modules like Creative, Venice and Donna Rossi.
Once the new plant became operational, the entire manufacturing base would be shifted to Kelambakkam and the existing facility would be converted into a hi-tech IT park, Farwood Industries CMD M P Farook told UNI on the sidelines of the launch of its new product 'Donna Rossi'.
'Work on the IT Park, to come up at an investment of about Rs 20 crore, will start after the entire manufacturing base was shifted to the new facility. The work will commence only next year and the IT park will be fully promoted by Farwood Industries', he added.
