Doon valley reverberates with Vande Mataram.

Dehra Dun, 7 Sep (UNI) Vande Mataram reverberated in Dehradun, the capital city of Uttaranchal with various schools and political parties singing the National Song to commemorate its centenary.

Apart from Bharatiya Janata Party singing Vande Mataram before its Executive meeting with its senior leader LK Advani, president Rajnath Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi and others, the Congress and Samajwadi Party also sang Vande Mataram in their respective party offices. Members of various Non Governmental Organisations took out rally in the city singing Vande Mataram collectively, including Muslims.

Though the National Song was not sung in all the Government Schools, most of them and public schools held special program to sing the national Song, which served as a source of inspiration to freedom fighters throughout the independence struggle.
