BSP working against Kanshi Ram's ideology: Expelled MP

Lucknow, Sep 7 (UNI) Expelled Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Rajya Sabha member Esham Singh today criticised BSP president Mayawati for leading the party against the ideologies of party founder Kanshi Ram.

'' My expulsion is due to my growing popularity in the party...

Ms Mayawati never accepts growth of any schedule caste leader in the BSP,'' he said.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Singh charged the BSP leadership with ''saffronising'' the party and interested only in ammassing funds through illict means.

He said all the BSP leaders would meet in New Delhi on September 11 to chalk out a strategy to revive the party.

The expelled leader also criticised BSP general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra for raking up Ayodhya issue, by promising to construct the temple, if BSP returns to power in the state.

''My expuslion was the result of a letter written by me to Ms Mayawati on August 30 last year, in which I had asked to free Kanshi Ram from her clutches'', he added.

Denying the allegations made by the BSP supremo, that he wanted assembly ticket for his son and married daughter, Esham said he has only a son, who was yet to attain the age to contest assembly polls.

During the press meet, the RS member also released a phamplet containing the details of the bank balance and properties of Ms Mayawati and her family members.
