BEL eyes Rs 250 cr turnover in 2006-07

Machilipatnam, Sep 7: Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) Machilipatnam has fixed a target of Rs 250 crore turnover for this financial year 2006-07, according to an official spokesman of the company.

Talking to UNI today he said during this fiscal year so far the company had made a turn over of Rs 35 crore and was expecting more orders from Nepal, Surinam, Israel and other foreign countries.

The Union Defence Ministry, Union Ministry of Home Affairs and all states Law Enforcing Agencies were trying to curb the nocturnal illegal activities by enemies and terrorist groups.

He said there was heavy demand for the sophisticated Night Vision Systems, BEL's unique product.
