ADLABS to launch 45 FM stations
Kolkata, Sep 7(UNI) ADLABS Radio, part of the Reliance ADA group will launch 45 FM stations across the country to reach 1,000 towns and 50,000 villages across the country by next year.
With a total investment of Rs 400 crores, ADLAB FM stations would be launched in phases in Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai besides other metros, company sources today said.
The company would also cover Jammu, Srinagar, Aligarh and Bikaner among other virgin areas under its programme.
''By the next year we will reach a 200-million audience in 1,000 towns and 50,000 villages across the country,'' the sources said.
All the stations would have a common frequency.
While metros had been earmarked for the company's brand recognition, the virgin markets in smaller cities would be fully explored, they said.
The sources said the radio jockeys had already been selected from all over the country while the entire network would require a total of 1500 employees.
