20 kids faint during Vande Mataram programme

Nagpur, Sep 7 (UNI) About 20 children who assembled at a park here to recite Vande Mataram fell unconcious due to the intense heat this afternoon.

Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay said the children had assembled at the Dayanand Park in Jaripatka locality of the city in the afternoon to recite the national song.

About 20 of them fainted as they had to wait for a long time for the programme to begin and it was a hot day, he said.

All the children were admitted to Janata Hospital in the same area and are stated to be out of danger.
