1 killed as Shatabdi rams into tractor-trailer

Davangere, Karnataka, Sep 7 (UNI) One person was killed and another seriously injured when the sand laden-tractor-trailer in which they travelling was hit by a speeding Shatabdi express at an unmanned level crossing near Karur cross in this district today.

Railway police told UNI the train was on its way to Bangalore from Hubli when the mishap occurred.

The deceased was identified as Lingajja (45).

The injured was admitted to a hospital here.
