Varanasi blast mastermind remanded in 14 days judicial custody
Varanasi, Sep 6 (UNI) A session court here today extended by 14 days the judicial remand of Mohd Waliullah -- the mastermind of March Seven twin blast in Varanasi -- and posted the case for further hearing on September 20.
The mastermind Mohd Waliullah, one of the six accused in the cases pertaining to twin blast at Varanasi Cantonment railway station and Sankatmochan Temple, besides recovery of pressure cooker borne explosives on March Seven, was produced in the court of Special Judge (Essential Commodities Act) amid tight security.
The Judge D N Agarwal, while hearing the cases, ordered that the judicial remand of Waliullah be extended by 14 more days and the cases be next heard on September 20.
The others, including three Bangaladeshi nationals and one from neighbouring Chandauli district, are still at large. Another of the accused Mohd Zubair, was gunned down by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police on the outskirts of Lucknow early on March Eight.
At least 18 people were killed and over 100 other injured in the twin blasts.
