Top seed Jishnu Sanyal crash out in second round

Bangalore, Sep 6 (UNI) In a major upset top seed Jishnu Sanyal of Air India and second seed G M Nischitha of Karnataka was also shown door in the boy's and Girl's section respectively in the Union Bank of India All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament being played at the Prakash Padukone Academy here today.

Qualifier Aditya Elango of Tamil Nadu shocked Jishnu 21-18, 21-18, while unseeded Mudra Dahinje of Maharashtra sent Nischitha packing at 14-21, 22-20, 21-16.

Jishnu, who opened the account with winning note by defeating K Vikranth Kumar of Andhra Pradesh in straight sets 21-10, 21-11 in the first round failed to produce the same form going down in straight games.

Nischitha won the first set but with her opponent growing in confidence wilted under pressure losing the next two games.
