Three CRPF jawans hurt in landmine explosions

Bokaro, Sep 6 (UNI) Three CRPF jawans were wounded when Maoist ultras detonated landmines at Beltharwa village of Naxaliste dominated Jhumra hill region in Jharkhand's Bokaro district.

CRPF Commandant Bhanu Pratap Singh said the landmines exploded when the security forces were returning after conducting raids against the ultras.

Soon after the blasts, there were exchanged of bullets between the rebels and securitymen in which over 200 rounds were fired from both sides. But no casualty had been reported so far in the firing, he added.

He said the jawans- Pramod Kumar, Anand Mohan and Omprakash-, injured in the blasts were taken in a helicopter for admision to RIMS hospital.
