Three arrested for attempt to murder

Mumbai, Sep 6 (UNI) Police here have arrested three persons for attempting to murder a person in Shivajinagar area, north east Mumbai, The trio Mohammed Yasin Shaikh (22), Mohammed Samir Shaikh Abid Shaikh (22), and Jasbi were arrested today after they attacked one Shabir Majid Abdul Shaikh with lethal weapons late last evening inside the Bombay hotel in Shivajinagar area here. The victim is now recuperating in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) at the Lokmanya Tilak hospital, Sion.

According to police, the three accused, all zari workers, got into an argument over a financial dispute with the victim, who is into gold refining services, subsequently attacked the victim in a fit of rage.

The victim, Abdul Shaikh received grievous injuries on his head and stomach, while his left hand was fractured in the attack.

Meanwhile, the police is closely investigating the financial backgrounds of all the persons involved.
