Schools closed due to bomb threat

Pondicherry, Sep 6 (UNI) Several private schools in Pondicherry town remained closed this afternoon, following a bomb scare.

A private school at Mangalakshmi Nagar received an anonymous call stating that a bomb had been planted in the school. The school immediately declared a holiday.

However, a search by the police proved that the call was a hoax.

Some more private schools in the town also received a bomb threat, which proved to be a hoax.

However, scared parents forced the schools to send back their children.
