Power generation grows to a record 105 per cent

New Delhi, Sep 6 (UNI) Power Generation during April-August 2006 has been 270.79 billion units recording a growth of 105.7 per cent of the actual generation during the same period last year.

As far as actual generation with reference to the target during the above period is concerned, Hydro generation has been 106.4 per cent, Nuclear generation 102.7 per cent and Thermal generation 98.3 per cent of the target, said an official release issued here today.
