Meet to hear objections over delimitation concludes

Varanasi, Sep 6 (UNI) The two-day meeting chaired here by Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalswamy to hear objections and suggestions of public over the delimitation of parliamentary and assembly constituencies in 13 Uttar Pradesh districts concluded here today.

While elected representatives and social activists from Banda, Chitrakoot, Fatehpur, Kaushambi, Bhadohi, Pratapgarh, Allahabad, Varanasi and Jaunpur submitted their objections and suggestions with the CEC yesterday, those from remaining districts, including Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Ghazipur followed suit today.

Except for objections and suggestions the speakers were not allowed to speak on any other line.

Video recording of the entire proceeding was also conducted.

The associate members of the Delimitation Commission, Narendra Singh Gaur, Ram Gopal Yadav, Santosh Gangwar, besides State Chief Election Commissioner A P Singh were also present.
