Jail staffer linked with militants nabbed

Jammu, Sep 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested a warder in Kot Bhalwal Jail staffer for his alleged involvement in smuggling money to the militants inside the high security jail.

Police said they have arrested a Kot Bhalwal jail staffer Bashir Ahmed for helping a local shopkeeper to smuggle Rs 35,000 inside the jail.

The investigations revealed that Bashir Ahmed had been assisting the shopkeeper and other couriers of the militants to help in providing cash to the militants inside the jail.

The interrogations were on to ascertain Ahmed's link with militants.
