ICI Dulux launches 4-wall Super Premium Emulsion

Bangalore, Sep 6 (UNI) ICI Paints, manufacturers of popular Dulux brand of paints, today announced the countrywide launch of ''INSPIRA,'' the first four wall super premium emulsion for its discerning consumers.

Speaking to reporters after the launch here, ICI India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Jain said the new paint gave a soft feel and look of Cashmere finish with a soft texture that evoked an imagery of cashmere wool. It imparted a subtle pattern finish to the walls with a soft tactile and pearly texture, he explained.

Company Marketing and Innovation General Manager (Paints Division) Hina Nagarajan said the new product, available in 20 exclusive shades, was developed keeping in view the consumers' needs such as aesthetic sense and creativity and their changing mindset.

To a question, she said the industry, growing at a rate of 13 to 14 per cent per year, was likely to grow from the present Rs 5,000 crore to Rs 8,000 crore in the next five years. The rapid pace of growth could be attributed to various factors such as the lavish spending by the Information Technology professionals and easy availability of home loans, she added.

She said the company, a subsidiary of Britain-based Imperial Chemical Industries, had a revenue turnover of Rs 1,000 crore and a market share of 13 per cent.
